About the Role

xAI is seeking a Prompt Engineer to optimize and develop prompting strategies for Grok. You will design prompt templates, build evaluation frameworks, and work closely with the model training team to improve output quality across a wide range of tasks.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience with LLM prompting and evaluation
• Deep understanding of language model capabilities and limitations
• Strong writing and analytical skills
• Experience with prompt engineering frameworks and tools
• Proficiency in Python for building evaluation pipelines

Nice to Have

• Experience with chain-of-thought and few-shot prompting techniques
• Background in linguistics or cognitive science
• Familiarity with model fine-tuning
• Experience with red-teaming and adversarial prompt testing
