About the Role

Hugging Face is hiring an Open Source ML Engineer to build and maintain core libraries including Transformers, Diffusers, and Datasets. You will collaborate with the global ML community, review contributions, and develop new features that make AI more accessible.

Requirements

• 3+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on ML
• Strong proficiency in Python and modern ML frameworks
• Active participation in open-source communities
• Experience with transformer architectures and modern ML techniques
• Excellent written communication skills

Nice to Have

• Contributions to Hugging Face repositories
• Experience with model hubs and ML model distribution
• Background in developer advocacy or education
• Familiarity with Rust for performance-critical components
