About the Role

OpenAI is hiring a Technical Writer to create world-class documentation for our API, SDK, and developer tools. You will write guides, tutorials, and reference documentation that help millions of developers build with OpenAI's models.

Requirements

3+ years of technical writing experience for developer audiences
Strong understanding of APIs and developer tools
Experience with docs-as-code workflows
Ability to learn complex technical concepts quickly
Excellent writing and editing skills

Nice to Have

Experience writing documentation for ML/AI products
Programming experience (Python, TypeScript)
Familiarity with OpenAI's API
Experience with interactive documentation tools
