Senior Machine Learning Engineer

About the Role

Join OpenAI to build and optimize large-scale machine learning systems powering the next generation of AI models. You will work on training infrastructure, model optimization, and deployment pipelines for our flagship products including ChatGPT and the API platform.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in machine learning engineering
• Strong proficiency in Python and PyTorch or JAX
• Experience training large-scale distributed models
• MS or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or related field
• Experience with GPU/TPU cluster management

Nice to Have

• Experience with transformer architectures
• Publications in top ML conferences (NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR)
• Experience with RLHF or preference learning
• Contributions to open-source ML projects
