Security Engineer — AI Systems

About the Role

OpenAI is seeking a Security Engineer to protect AI systems from adversarial attacks, data poisoning, and prompt injection. You will develop security frameworks, implement defense mechanisms, and conduct security audits of AI model deployments.

Requirements

• 5+ years of security engineering experience
• Understanding of ML/AI system attack vectors
• Experience with application security and threat modeling
• Proficiency in Python and security tooling
• Knowledge of prompt injection and AI-specific vulnerabilities

Nice to Have

• Published research in adversarial ML or AI security
• Experience with red-teaming AI systems
• Background in cryptography
• Security certifications (CISSP, OSCP)
