About the Role

Waymo is seeking a Perception ML Engineer to build the 3D perception systems for autonomous vehicles. You will develop models for 3D object detection, tracking, and semantic segmentation using lidar, camera, and radar data.

Requirements

4+ years in perception for autonomous systems
Expertise in 3D object detection and point cloud processing
Strong skills in Python, C++, and TensorFlow/PyTorch
Experience with sensor fusion (lidar, camera, radar)
MS/PhD in Robotics, CS, or related field

Nice to Have

Experience with BEV perception models
Background in motion prediction
Experience with real-time inference on embedded systems
Published work in autonomous driving
