Reinforcement Learning Researcher

About the Role

Google DeepMind is seeking a Reinforcement Learning Researcher to push the boundaries of RL algorithms for game playing, robotics, and language model training. You will conduct fundamental research, develop new RL methods, and apply them to real-world problems.

Requirements

• PhD in Computer Science or related field with RL focus
• Strong publication record in RL (NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR)
• Deep expertise in policy optimization and value-based methods
• Strong implementation skills in JAX or PyTorch
• Experience with large-scale RL experiments

Nice to Have

• Experience with multi-agent RL
• Background in robotics or control
• Experience with offline RL methods
• Familiarity with RLHF for language models
