Computational Biology Researcher — AI for Science

About the Role

Arc Institute is seeking a Computational Biology Researcher to apply foundation models to biological research. You will develop protein language models, work on genomic sequence modeling, and build AI tools that accelerate scientific discovery in biology and medicine.

Requirements

• PhD in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, or ML
• Experience with protein or genomic foundation models
• Strong skills in Python and PyTorch
• Understanding of molecular biology and biochemistry
• Publication record in computational biology or ML for science

Nice to Have

• Experience with AlphaFold or protein structure prediction
• Background in drug discovery or target identification
• Experience with single-cell genomics data
• Familiarity with lab-in-the-loop ML approaches
