Principal Data Scientist — AI Platform

About the Role

Microsoft is seeking a Principal Data Scientist to lead AI platform analytics and model evaluation. You will define metrics, design experiments, and lead a team of data scientists in measuring and improving the quality of AI products across Microsoft.

Requirements

• 8+ years of data science experience
• 3+ years of technical leadership
• Expertise in causal inference and experimentation
• Strong skills in Python, R, and SQL
• Experience with large-scale A/B testing platforms

Nice to Have

• Experience evaluating LLM-based products
• Background in information retrieval metrics
• PhD in Statistics, CS, or related quantitative field
• Experience with Microsoft's experimentation platforms
